Orange Beach on the Gulf is a busy place, as it is one of the leading beach destinations in the state of Alabama. The Gulf State Park fishing pier is a great place for land lovers who like fishing or not, and you can't miss the pelicans hanging around waiting for a fish or two. If you want to see a pelican up close, you have to talk to the birds, because they are located in the middle of the pier, only a few meters away from the pier.
Travelers who want to fly have the option of flying from Orange Beach, Alabama, to the Gulf Coast, although the area is definitely more of a drive than a destination.
